Class-From-Home

Hi, guys! This is my very first post for this blog. To know why I started this blog, please go to the About page. Anyways; thank the heavens for I am done now with everything I need to do! This week's been a HELL WEEK for all of us. Due to COVID-19, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte suspended classes on March 9, 2020, followed by a partial lockdown on March 12, then an "enhanced community quarantine" (it more look like a lockdown) of the entire Luzon region on March 16. This series of events led to the suspension of not just classes but also the operations of many businesses. Everyone, students and workers, was asked to do work at home for the safety of all. Social gatherings are a huge no-no. Catholic Masses are even done online! Still, the work-from-home solution was not that effective especially for those who are underprivileged. WOAH, WOAH!!! Ain't trying to be political here, it wouldn't be a good welcoming gift. Maybe next time?

ANYWAY; so, yeah, given the situation right now, a lot of us are staying in the safety of our sweet homes; like days or weeks? Certainly, many thought first, "FINALLY!!! THE NEED TO STRUGGLE ON THE OUTSIDE WORLD IS OVER!!! GOODBYE, UNFORGIVING SOCIETY!!!" Introverts were probably as glad about this as the extroverts. Initially. But as days passed by, it's getting bleaker and bleaker. We get tired of doing school/office works at home, bored of the same chores, and fed up with our usual boredom killers. What we initially considered as a semi-vacacion grande slowly turned into a free trial of house arrest. Well, not actually like house arrest; it's just that you can't go out either because of the danger of contracting the virus, the law enforcers patrolling the streets, or because there's no safe and fun place to go.

March 16, 2020, was the start of our Finals Exam Week. Because of the community quarantine, examinations were done online. In other words, today's the last day of our hell week. I thank the heavens for helping me survive the Finals Hell Week. Was it easier? For me, yes it was easier; I have everything I need and I don't need to go out. Though I still felt the lag of transitioning from the traditional way of completing the requirements to the online way. It's tiring, indeed. Most of my daily life this week I was just sitting in front of my laptop for almost the whole day. Once I finish my breakfast, that's the start of it. I won't stop until dinner time (I do have some short occasional breaks, though). After dinner, I'll resume my work until midnight. This was my routine in the past few days. Day after day, the adrenaline brought by the sense of self-efficiency goes down; it's getting bleaker and bleaker. Eventually, I felt bored; I even got tired of my household chores. There are a few days left before the end of the region-wide quarantine. Am I going to survive it?

Due to this grueling boredom brought by the quarantine, I decided to create this blog. "Why not do something productive? Something fun and can help you to earn money?" I asked to myself. Then, I opened my laptop, created a Gmail account, then signed in to Blogger.com. I had a rough start, needless to say. I used to create websites from another online website builder, but it's years ago so, meh, I forgot how to make one. Fortunately, I was able to make my way fast; now I'm writing my very first blog post. I was really excited to start my blog; I love how it looks like (Isn't it pretty?)! I don't even know right now if there's anything I forgot to do. I just want to see how it will look like if there are already some posts in it. I decided to blog because, for me, blogging can help me in various ways: first, it's a good time killer. Second, blogging can help me improve my English writing (or should I say typing) skills; my mother tongue is Tagalog, in case you ask. Third, if fate will let it, it will be my source of income which in turn can help me fund my studies and necessities. Yes, it will be a great help if you will ask your family, friends, lovers, and pets to visit my blog. I would advise that you should start blogging, too!

That's it for now. I know your eyes got tired reading this. If you want to have more of me, go to the Contact Me page and follow me on my social media sites. Also, don't be shy; let me hear your voice. Type in the comment box below or send me a DM through Twitter. Try also clicking the Subscribe button to stay tuned. Thank you for reading and have a nice day!
